New Mexico, especially the area around Taos is special
to my wife and I. It's a tri-cultural area where Anglos, Hispanics, and
Indians try to live together and endeavor to make the world a workable
place. Not such an easy task. It's an area that is mainly high desert
although there is a significant amount of Alpine areas. This picture
was taken of a ghosttown called Elizabethtown.
Fishing is pretty good near here, there are skying,
hiking, hunting, fishing, and shopping experiences to be had. Nice
state!
Chaco Canyon is in the center portion of the state, it's
ruins are some of the oldest in the United States dating from around
1100. It is assumed that the Anastazi Indian tribe inhabited these
ruins, but they are spectacular. You have to see this to believe it and
it's not that easy to get to!
