Step 2. REALLY know the spelling of everything.

Step 3. Once you know how to recognize a spine, protuberence, etc. Most everything really will come together.

Step 4. Learn to SPELL and WRITE so your teacher can read it.

For example on the hip bone you have

Iliac Crest
Anterior Superior Iliac Spine
Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine
Obturator foramen
Ischial tuberosity
Ischial Spine
Greater Sciatic notch
Posterior inferior iliac spine
posterior superior iliac spine
and iliac tuberosity.

Also when you practice saying/writing them say iliac Crest of the Ilium and obturator forman of the ischium.

On muscles

Write down all of the Origins and Insertions, you will find that the majority will attach at common points, this make them easier to remember.
